Following traditional Swedish cabin custom, duvets and pillows are provided on all beds, while guests either bring their own bed sheets and towels or order our freshly laundered linen & towel package as an optional add-on during booking. Similarly, you can either perform the final departure cleaning yourself following our simple checklist or pre-book professional final cleaning.
Is firewood included for the sauna and indoor wood stove?
Yes! At Laggarbo Lake Cabin, dry birch firewood is included for both the lakeside wood-fired sauna and the cozy indoor fireplace stove, along with complimentary use of our private rowing boat and life jackets.

How do I get to Laggarbo (Skinnskatteberg) from Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) or Västerås Airport (VST)?
By rental car, it is an easy, scenic drive of 1 hour 50 minutes (approx. 165 km) from Stockholm City or Arlanda Airport via highway E18 West toward Enköping/Västerås, and then Route 66/250/233 to Skinnskatteberg. From Stockholm Västerås Airport (VST, served by Ryanair), the drive takes only 55 minutes (62 km).
Can I reach Skinnskatteberg by public train from Stockholm?

Please consult with the host before plugging high-draw EV chargers into cabin domestic sockets.
Do I need winter tires when visiting between December and March?
Yes. Under Swedish law, winter tires (vinterdäck—either studded tires or Nordic friction tires with the alpine/snowflake symbol) are mandatory from December 1 to March 31 whenever winter road conditions prevail. All rental cars picked up at Arlanda or Västerås Airport during winter come equipped with compliant winter tires and ice scrapers.
